Climate Action Plan
Star Linen is committed to supporting the global ambition to limit warming to 1.5°C and to playing its part in the transition to net zero emissions by 2050. As a Carbon Neutral B Corp hospitality linen supplier we will continue to measure, manage and reduce the environmental impacts of our operations, products and supply chain.
We will focus our climate action on the areas most relevant to our business:
· Energy use at our warehouse and office in Ystrad Mynach.
· Business travel, deliveries and logistics across the UK.
· Lower-impact sourcing and UK manufacturing where possible.
· Circularity programmes including ReStart and Avena.
· Waste reduction, recycling and responsible disposal.
· Transparent reporting through our Impact Reports and website.
We aim to reduce emissions from business mileage and local deliveries by 10–20% per £ of revenue by 2028, compared with our 2024/2025 baseline.
We will maintain at least 60% of our product range sourced in the UK and aim to increase the share of products from verified lower-impact or certified suppliers to 20–25% of our total range by 2028.
We aim to increase the volume of duvets, pillows and linen diverted into circular recovery routes such as ReStart and Avena by 20% by 2028, compared with 2024/2025 levels.
We aim to reduce general waste sent to landfill from our warehouse and office by 90% by 2028, compared with our 2024/2025 baseline.
Reporting
We will publish this Climate Action Plan on our website by Q4 2026, review it at least every 24 months and report progress in our annual Impact Reports from 2026 onwards.
We will deliver this plan through practical action, including energy efficiency improvements, route optimisation, better waste segregation, stronger supplier review, and continued investment in textile circularity solutions. Progress will be reviewed annually and shared publicly through our website and Impact Reports.
This plan will be approved by our Managing Director and supported across our operations, procurement, leadership and marketing teams. We will use stakeholder feedback, including comments received through our public stakeholder channels, to improve our climate approach over time.
Our Climate Action Plan sets out how we measure and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, invest in low‑carbon solutions, and work with partners across hospitality to decouple growth from impact.
