FAQ’s

What is the best type of bed linen for hotels?

There are two main choices of hotel bedroom linen: cotton or polycotton. Cotton is breathable and soft against the skin, while Polycotton is more durable and easier to iron which may be more suitable for very busy hotels.

How do I choose the right duvet cover for a hotel room?

There are a few factors to choosing your duvet cover. Material - whether you want cotton or polycotton this depends on budget and how you process the sheets. Threadcount - generally thread counts between 200 and 400 are the best for hotels as they offer a balance of strength and softness. Closure Type - all our duvets are open end to help with the ease of changing the bed and ensures nothing catches during the wash process.

What material is ideal for hotel bed sheets?

Depending on the hotel budget we offer 100% Cotton or 50/50 Polycotton bed sheets, cotton is the highest quality and gives the sheets a smooth cool feeling. Polycotton is comfortable, affordable and is easy to  process.

How can hotels select hypoallergenic bedding for guests?

When choosing hypoallergenic bed linen the goal  is to reduce the presence of allergens like dust mites, mould and other irritants. Choosing natural fibres such as cotton is a great choice for hotels as it is breathable and naturally resistant to dust mites. Look for certifications on products, e.g. OEXO-TEX 100 ensures fabric is free from harmful chemicals.

What is Thread Count and how does it affect the quality of the linen?

Thread Count refers to the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric . It includes both horizontal (weft) and vertical (warp) threads.  Higher thread counts are often associated with softer and more luxurious sheets, but not always indicative of higher quality. Lower thread count can be more breathable and durable, making them suitable for different uses.
